How Meditating Can Change Your Life And Calm Your Mind

Meditation is about reconnecting with your true self. When you get into a meditative state, your body and, your mind are still.

When we humans start meditating, we begin to understand just how busy our minds truly are. Thoughts come and go, our emotions rise to the surface, and patterns come to the front and centre. Instead of being swept away by our thoughts and feelings, mediation allow us to learn to observe them and not be consumed by them.

Over time, meditation creates space between you and your reactions. You may find yourself responding more gently, sleeping more deeply, and feeling less overwhelmed by everyday life. It does not remove pain, but it gives you the capacity to meet it with compassion.

My Mediation Journey

I started meditating after reading the Miracle Morning book by Hal Elrod when I was 19 years old in 2018. Hal introduced a simple yet powerful practice: six intentional acts, each done for ten minutes, starting at 5 a.m. With the promise that it could completely change your life.

The structure was clear and simple:

  • 10 minutes of meditation
  • 10 minutes of movement
  • 10 minutes of affirmations
  • 10 minutes of journaling
  • 10 minutes of reading

Most of these habits were already part of my life. I had been journaling, affirming, reading, and moving my body since I was fifteen. Meditation, however, was new to me, and it was the one thing that changed everything.

As I began to focus more deeply on meditation, something shifted. What started as an unfamiliar practice quickly became my superpower. It taught me how to slow my mind, regulate my emotions, and stay grounded in moments that once felt overwhelming.

In the middle of a busy, chaotic life, meditation became my callm.

From that point on, I felt lighter, more present, and deeply at peace, as if I was floating on cloud nine. And honestly, I’ve been there ever since.

Try it for yourself.

When you have ten minutes to spare, find a comfortable space at home, resting on the sofa or lying back on your bed. Create a moment that feels unrushed.

Open YouTube and play a 528 Hz healing frequency, (try this) and set your timer for ten minutes, close your eyes, and gently bring your attention to the sound.

Nothing to force or fix. Just pure relation.

Simply listen.

Before you realise it, that timer will go offf, and the world around you will feel noticeably calmer, softer, and more spacious.

Of course you can do it for as long as you like, and return to this practice whenever you need it. But the real magic lies in doing it everyday. Each time you do this, you’er training your mind to relax, to slow down, and observe your thoughts and emotions without becoming entangled in them.

This is real peace, not controlling the mind, but by allowing to settle.
